Socrates was a famous ancient Greek philosopher who believed in living a good and virtuous life. He said that if you want to live a better life and become a better person, you should practice these eighteen qualities: Serenity, regularity, absence of vanity, sincerity, simplicity, veracity, equanimity, fixity, non-irritability, adaptability, humility, tenacity, integrity, nobility, magnanimity, charity, generosity, purity. Practise daily these eighteen “ities” You will soon attain immortality.

  1. Serenity: Be calm and peaceful in your mind.
  2. Regularity: Stick to a routine or schedule in your life.
  3. Absence of vanity: Avoid being overly proud or showing off.
  4. Sincerity: Be truthful and honest in your words and actions.
  5. Simplicity: Keep things simple and uncomplicated.
  6. Veracity: Always tell the truth.
  7. Equanimity: Stay calm and balanced, even in difficult situations.
  8. Fixity: Be determined and focused on your goals.
  9. Non-irritability: Don’t get easily annoyed or angered.
  10. Adaptability: Be open to change and able to adjust to new situations.
  11. Humility: Be modest and not boastful.
  12. Tenacity: Show determination and persistence.
  13. Integrity: Act with honesty and strong moral principles.
  14. Nobility: Behave in a noble and honorable way.
  15. Magnanimity: Be generous and forgiving towards others.
  16. Charity: Help those in need and be kind.
  17. Generosity: Be willing to share and give to others.
  18. Purity: Keep your thoughts and actions pure and free from negativity.
