Over time this “True Faith” became corrupted and transformed into the vast diversity of religions we find today. The book explores Phallicism in ancient Egypt, ancient Scandinavia and ancient Greece, among the Phoenicians, Druids and Native Americans, in modern day India, China and Japan… and even in the Judaeo-Christian tradition.

Throughout mythology, gods like Bacchus, Dionysus, Hermes, Mahadeva, Shiva, Osiris, Jupiter, Moloch, and Baal have often been portrayed with large, prominent phalluses—symbols of power, fertility, and divine potency. In ancient cultures, the phallus was more than a physical trait; it was a spiritual emblem of creation, abundance, and life force, connecting these deities with primal human desires and cosmic fertility. Dionysus and Bacchus, gods of wine and revelry, embodied ecstasy and pleasure, celebrating life’s raw, passionate side. Hermes, a god of boundaries and transitions, was also a protector of fertility, while Shiva and Mahadeva, revered in Hindu mythology, symbolized both destruction and rebirth through their powerful lingam. Similarly, Osiris and Jupiter connected the earthly with the celestial, linking male potency to nature’s cycles and cosmic order. Moloch and Baal, ancient gods of vitality and intense energy, represented fierce life forces. Their depictions weren’t solely physical but revered as representations of the boundless creative and generative capacities found in nature, humanity, and the universe.
