Thanks, your article “Sexuality, Borderzone Bisexuals, and the Need for a Romantic and Platonic Orientation Graph”, it is a revelation to me. I have long known intuitively sexuality is far more complex than just the straight-gay-bi continuum which is why I have always been unable to define myself. I think I know now why I am celibate and virtually always have been as I fit awkwardly and unusually across the categories. I think I am very much predominantly straight sexually but prone to be heteroplatonic and mainly gay romantically. This explains so much of what has happened in my life which I’ve never been able to understand. Although on the face of it it seems to confirm I’m basically screwed I’m hoping the increased awareness may possibly lead me to find a way through it so hopefully I won’t always be alone! – Tiro

In my way of thinking the most important measure of our lives is maximal human flourishing. Clearly some men flourish with only women. It is also clear that some men will flourish when married to a woman and having sex with men outside of marriage. And of course many men have no desire to be with women. All variations are good as long as they lead to maximal flourishing. I don’t necessarily like all women. Wouldn’t consider a lot of them for even friendships. Having said that, the same applies to men. Would I have relations with any man or woman? No. So yes while bisexual, I’m entitled to be selective with whom I’m aroused by. I’m finding more attraction at times to trans women at times then a man. What is that called? Open-minded? – 1LuckyGuy
