The Prince Albert

The origin of the Prince Albert piercing until now is unknown. But we can exclusively reveal the men who invented the PA in the 1970’s. Jim Ward, Doug Malloy, and Fakir Musafar. Ward is an American body piercer. In a 2004 documentary, entitled The Social History of Piercing, MTV called him “the granddaddy of the modern body piercing movement. Malloy, a successful entrepreneur was also known as an early pioneer of the contemporary resurgence in body piercing. Fakir Musafar, was an American performance artist considered to be one of the founders of the modern primitive movement. Together, these men developed the Prince Albert piercing. Malloy published a pamphlet in which he concocted fanciful histories of genital piercings which included the notion that Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria invented the piercing that shares his name in order to tame the appearance of his huge penis in tight trousers
