I often wonder why am I gay? I have two elder brothers who are heterosexual, both with a wife and kids. Given our common genes and upbringing, I wonder what made them heterosexual and me homosexual?
I’m intrigued by scientific research on Fraternal Birth Order, which concludes that younger sons have an increasing likelihood of being homosexual. The hypothesis is based around levels of antibodies and testosterone in the prenatal mother. In particular, the pregnant mother’s immune response to male-specific antigens has been shown to get stronger with each subsequent pregnancy, thereby increasing the likelihood of the son being gay. Meanwhile, levels of testosterone have been shown to decrease with each subsequent pregnancy, thereby contributing to the same outcome. Of course, birth order is not the whole story, with other social and environmental factors playing a part. But in seeking an answer for myself, I am happy to accept the Fraternal Birth Order theory. I like being gay, but I also like knowing why I am gay. HugH

Fraternal birth order makes sense if you consider it’s nature’s way to control population.
I did some research and some will not agree. Gay rams. University studied why some rams go for rams, not ewes. Their brains were not given the enzymes or hormones to masculinize the ram. We are born this way, not because of gay gene. Several universities have found this. Human sexuality it very complex but nature verses nurture still reigns true. Look up gay rams. You’ll see.
