My interest in the nude form in video does not only proceed from the values associated with natural living and freedom, which although I hold these values and they are present in my work, do not constitute its principal inspiration. For me, working with the nude form in the video medium satisfies another, stronger need, which is to teach how to see and value the beauty of the male body when it appears completely naked in situations and contexts of daily life and especially when it is in motion. I believe it is important to create sequences in which the contemplation of a nude man moving can generate a strong visual attraction capable of seducing the spectator by the beauty of the images, and that from the aesthetic pleasure these provoke one can, if possible, caress one’s sensuality. – Eloi Biosca

This video shows a beautiful nude man running down an empty beach. He is in motion and he is very beautiful. But, for me, the HaPenis series of still pictures of nude men from Life magazine do a better job of showing how beautiful a man can be when he is naked in the midst of everyday life, where everyone else is wearing clothes. You expect to see, at some point, a man running naked down a deserted beach. You don’t expect to see a naked man surrounded by men in suits talking to each other about … (who knows? how much they want to fuck the naked guy standing next to them?). The Life pictures show us everyday men stripped naked and show us how fucking beautiful they are. Their nudity is moving, makes us look at them, want them, want everyone else in the frame to get naked too. With all due respect and admiration, I don’t think Eloi’s video clip gives its moving male nude as much beauty-in-motion. Not that the guy isn’t gorgeous!
