Rumi on Masturbation

Rumi was asked once what to do about a young man caught doing some indecent act. The story doesn’t mention what exactly — masturbation, peeping-tomming, whatever wild wantings young men think to do. Rumi told them not to worry about it. ‘It just means he’s growing his feathers. The dangerous case is a youth who doesn’t do indecent acts, who then leaves the nest without feathers. One flap and the cat has him.’ Be careful, Rumi suggests, about shaming sexual behavior in an adolescent or anyone who hasn’t yet has his or her fill of erotic trancing. Often, the closest we come to surrender is orgasm. In Rumi’s symbology the rooster is a symbol for that energy. (From The Essential Rumi By Coleman Barks, Jelaluddin Rumi)

Erotic Trancing : Rumi on Masturbation

the most erotic word

rugby husky

What’s the most erotic word? A psychologist looked through 300,000 erotic stories. Mark Allen Thornton used data from around 300,000 erotic stories and 65,000 authors who published their work on fiction site Literotica, to find who writes what kind of sex – and who likes reading about it.

thick chubby cock

The most popular word is ‘cock’

In all stories, by far the most commonly-used word was ‘cock’. Either writers aren’t very imaginative when it comes to penis-based vocab, or they just really, really like the word ‘cock’. According to Thornton, about 2/3rds of the stories he analysed were written by men. It also shows that a lot of erotica is about penises rather than vaginas. Draw your own conclusions.
